Update - High Spa Field Day 2008

Day 6, Beef Week - High Spa Field Day - February 2nd, 2008

High Spa held a field day during Beef Week on Saturday, February 2, and included industry displays in addition to stud cattle for sale. Many people took advantage of the day to visit and to gain assistance in purchasing the right cattle to enhance their various programs.

A highlight this year was an offering of sixty performance recorded females including 40 heifers and 20 mixed aged cows. Bulls with first class genetics, for both heifer and cow joining were also available for inspection and selection.

In conjunction with the DPI a NLIS technology display was a 2008 special feature. A range of NLIS technology suppliers displayed and demonstrated their products to all interested people and producers.

Ultrastock was available on the day with ultra sound scanning information.

Merial Australia, Keenan, and Certified Australian Angus Beef held information sessions of vital interest to producers commencing at 10.45am. Many visitors took advantage of these educational sessions on Parasite control, Keenan System ration specifications and details about The Certified Australian Angus Beef Program.

Jade Love from Mansefield was our Lucky Gate Prize winner. "Guess the Three Bulls Weights" competition will also be back next year by popular demand!

Our next planned Open Day will be in August during the Spring Beef Week Field Days, 2008. Watch these pages for date and details.
