High Spa Field Day, February 1st 2009

High Spa will hold a field day during Beef Week on Sunday, February 1st, 2009 which will include industry displays in addition to stud cattle for sale.
You are invited to attend our open day at any time between 9 am and 6 pm.
A highlight will be an offering of around sixty performance recorded females, including heifers and mixed aged cows. Bulls with first class genetics, for both heifer and cow joining will also be available for inspection and selection.
All sale cattle will be conveniently penned for ease of inspection with detailed individual information available. Speak to Brian, Wayne or Kevin about your current or proposed breeding program and markets and they can assist you in selecting the right animal or animals to suit.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day including a light lunch.
Free information sessions of vital interest to producers will be a feature of the day. Sessions will commence promptly at 10.45 am. They will involve Ivan Pyke of Merial Australia on animal health and product, Tim Brown, Sales & Production Agronomist of Highleaze Seeds on dual purpose cereals and forage cereals for silage and hay, varieties (some new, some old) and how to choose varieties for each job, Dave Huggins, B.App.Sc (AG) Rumans Manager, Keenan Australia, “Feeding opportunities of weather damaged grain” and (after lunch) Rod McClure B. Agr. Sc Agribusiness Manager, Suncorp Metway Ltd on Suncorp’s Agribusiness Banking Division and their partnership with primary producers and productivity groups and an introduction to Michael Pointer Advisor to CAAB™ who will speak on the Certified Australian Angus Beef program.
People who have attended our complimentary sessions in the past speak very highly of the caliber of the presenters and of the knowledge gleaned from them.
Ultrastock will be present during the day with ultra sound scanning information.
